Inspirational People: Joao Silva, World Renown Photojournalist

On October 23rd, 2010 João Silva, a photojournalist, stepped on a mine while accompanying American soldiers. He lost both his legs below the knees. The New York Times have said that he never stopped snapping pictures even through his rehabilitation. On Thursday, July 28th, 2011, his photograph was featured on the front page of the New York Times.

What is so interesting about the photo? The photo is one that tells the story of the closing ceremony at Walter Reed where he received his rehab. Check out his work, even Google his name, the pictures are worth a thousand words.
