Inspirational People: Marine Corps Cpl. Todd Nicely…He says he feels lucky even though he is missing all four extremeties

According to the Washington Post, Marine Corps Cpl. Todd Nicely is one of three surviving quadruple amputees from both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. In March 2010, Nicely lost both arms and legs when he stepped on an IED while crossing a bridge in the Helmand province in southern Afghanistan.

He is an inspiration to me to see his courage and perseverance. He works hard and from the video it appears he can don/doff the prosthesis independently. Watching him walk to receive some of his military honors sends chills up my spine. A special thanks to Cpl. Todd Nicely for defending my freedom.

Sorry for the long link.
