Preventing the “carbon itch”…what happened to the Gojo Barrier Lotion?

Today I had to grind a little bit on a below the knee prosthetic socket and did not take the usual precautions to protect my forearms. As I am writing this, I am still itchy. The usual precautionary solutions include “suiting up” with nylons, lab jacket, and gloves that are taped to the jacket. I did not have any of that at my disposal today, and I am paying the price.

I remember a time when I was able to buy a product called Gojo Barrier Lotion; the stuff was simply amazing. I would put the lotion on, grind away on sockets, then rinse it off and not have any issues with itching. Google has failed me in my quest to replace the Barrier Lotion; I cannot find it anywhere. I am tempted to try another brand. Have you used a barrier lotion with success?
